Death Quetzalcoatl has two modes: Attack Mode and Defense Mode. When put in attack mode, the metal frame shows the details of few snake heads with teeth and red eyes, improving the term “attack” In attack mode, the metal frame has a lot more cavities that can reject recoil and thus gives it more offensive look.

But in defense mode the metal frame is turned to the top of the core and so it covering all the holes, does not have giving the opponent any advantage. The Metal Frame also shows more of a snake-like appearance in Defense Mode.
