The best beyblade in the world
What is the best beyblade in the world at the moment?
To answer this question, we’ll have to look into beyblade’s history.
Do you remember the appearance of the Japanese Manga series called Beyblade at the beginning of the 21st century? Admit you were at least shocked by the quality of animation which was so good that it seemed unreal. The new millennium has brought the entirely new dimension of cartoons. For all of us who grew up watching Sport Billy or the Smurfs, this cartoon represented a real avant-garde. Kids around the world were sitting in front of the TV with their parents, they could hardly wait for Beyblade V Force opening theme song and they sung together the lyrics of this song which had so good hard rock background that many rock singers and bands could be envious. The lyrics are:
Picking up speed
runnin’ outta time,
going head to head
it’s a way of life.
You gotta fall down
eat ground
to get back up a-ga-in
LETS BEYBLADE…
Beyblade cartoon serial is the story about a group of boys united in a team who fight against the other teams with their Beyblade spinning tops. Tyson Granger goes to a big Beyblade tournament in Japan where he meets Ray Kon and Kai Hiwatari. After he beats them both, Tyson suggests them to unite, so they form a team called the Bladebreakers Beyblade team. Soon after that Max Tate joins them.
This successful team enters beyblade tournaments around the world. In China they beat Rey’s ex team “White Tigers” and in the USA they fight “All Stars” coached by Max’s mother. Bladebreakers fought many different teams around the world and they deserved their place in the World Championship finals in Moscow.
In the final they fight against the Russian team BIOVOLT Corporation whose leader is Voltaire, Kai’s grandfather. After the exhausting Beyblade battle, many temptations and injuries, they finally become Beyblade world champions. Simultaneously with this animated series the toys occurred, in the beginning they could be bought only in Japan and, maybe some other Asian countries.
There was no possibility to buy beyblade for sale in most of the world. Do you remember how we used to dismantle the old clocks and take out their gears to play with them in some oval-shaped bowl? This is the story of a father from the suburbs of Paris about that time. “My good friend who was on a business trip to Hong Kong brought me my first beyblade. It was the famous Black Dranzer. It was the indescribable thrill. My older son was the proud owner of Black Drenzer and the most popular boy in his school. But, since only plastic Beyblades were manufactured at the time, it got worn away and broken very soon…”
The first generation of Beyblade The “Basic System” tops were all made of plastic and they had five parts; : Bit Chip, Attack Ring (AR), Weight Disk (WD), Blade Base (BB) and spinning mechanism. Bit Chip was the heart of beyblade because it showed ancient creatures; dragons, bears, monkeys and the mythic bird Phoenix. They gave the unique power to each beyblade like attack, defense, balance, insurance…
Beyblade mania has soon taken over the whole world and beyblade toys have become available to everyone. Children have left marbles and balls and started to be interested in this Japanese attraction. They have collected stickers with their favorite beyblade characters heroes, played with beyblade toys and watch beyblade new episodes of manga series: Beyblade V-Force, Beyblade G-Revolution, Beyblade Metal Fusion…
A couple of years ago we organized beyblade tournaments, first in my street and then in the whole town. It was an unforgettable experience! We put beyblade pictures all over the town. The tournament was filmed by the local TV station which put a big video-wall in the center of the town specially foe this occasion.
The huge message Tyson was often using was written across the wall: “:” I would be scared if I wasn’t so darn good”. We found sponsors who provided huge money prizes and gifts. Over a hundred children from all parts of the town, all ages and nationalities entered the competition. It’s interesting that one girl earned her place in the final; she had a birthday that day, she turned 8.
After a dramatic match, she had beaten the 11-year-old boy and became the first beyblade champion in my town. The sponsors organized unforgettable birthday party for her. “One patisserie mad a giant Beyblade cake shaped like Galaxy Pegasis…” remembers a parent from Holland.

OLD BEYBLADES VS NEW BEYBLADES
Old beyblades vs. new beyblades which one would you vote for? The opinions are split when it comes to this dilemma. Beyblades have been improved over the years. Plastic Black Dranzer and Driger have been replaced by new, contemporary beyblade products from the workshops of TAKARA-TOMY Company with parts made of polycarbonates and more technically advanced bottoms. This new modified beyblade species is known by the common name Beyblade Metal Fusion. They feature the unique Hybrid Wheel System (HWS) which helps the beyblades to spin much longer in the Beyblade stadium. They have four different parts:
Facebolt: the little bolt with the appropriate beyblade sticker
Wheel: the main part of every beyblade
Track: shows the beyblade height
Bottom: regulates beyblade’s movement and behavior
There is specially designed Beyblade stadium, so called arena, where beyblade battles are organized. The winner is whoever launched the last top spinning. When you pull the ripcord beyblade launcher grip you need to put your beyblade low and to pull the ripcord brusquely because this is the only way to achieve the maximum launching speed. There are attack and defense positions.
If the beyblade is in a defense mode, it takes the place in the middle of the arena and that way it spends less of its “energy” thereby it spins longer. Unlike defensive beyblades which always maintain the same speed, attack beyblades move along the outer edge of beyblade stadium in regular circles with great speed, and they slowly approach the center. When one beyblade collides with the opponent’s beyblade, the mechanical energy transfer occurs, and beyblades bounce off each other and then they collide again. At the time of their first contact, the attacking beyblade has the advantage, but, if the defensive stays in the arena after that, its chances for winning the battle hugely increase. Typically, the winner is whoever wins three rounds first. It often so happens that beyblades stop spinning at the same time. It’s a tie score, and beyblades have to be launched again..
The most popular beyblade stadiums are Beyblade Stadium Metal Fusion Super Vortex Battle Set, Beyblade Metal Masters Triple Battle Set i Beyblades Metal Masters Max Stampede Stadium Set. You can find all this arenas on the largest оnline е-market on the world Amazon.com
At the beginning of March 2011, Japanese multinational company TAKARA-TOMY, lounched the new 4D system series of beyblades on the market. The new series differs from the old Hybrid Wheel System (HWS) in some features, those are:
Different Material – stainless metal alloy
Divided Wheel – the metal wheel consists of at least two wheels.
Dynamic Move – combination of attack and defense modes during the game.
Deep Custom – 4D fusion of the track and bottom.
Metal Fight Beyblade 4D products were launched simultaneously with the new season of TV series Beyblade: Metal Fury. The sixth beyblade series has 52 episodes and it shows the adventures of the main character, the invincible beyblader, Gingka Hagane (in Metal Fusion and Metal Masters Gingka’s voice is the same, but in Metal Fury his voice is changed) and his buddies Kenta Yumiya, Madoka Amano, Kyoya Tategami, Benkei Hanawa, Tsubasa Otori…
They travel the world searching i for the ten “Legendary Bladers” needed to defeat the God of Destruction, better known as Nemesis. In this series, there are lots of old beyblades vs. new beyblades, because of past and present, reality and imagination mix. It is interesting to know that Metal Fury is the first serial with the episodes cut from 30 minutes to only 15 minutes per episode.
WHAT IS THE BEST BEYBLADE IN THE WORLD
In our E-mail we often find the question “What is the best beyblade in the world?”. Basically, we divide beyblades into good ones and the bad ones. The Best beyblade in the world is the last top spinning in the beyblade stadiums. In further text, BeybladeBattle.org presents you with list of beyblades, some of the most popular beyblades on the market. We will not rate them so it wouldn’t seem that we prefer some of them over the others. This is our subjective opinion based on the long experience and friendship with this phenomenal Japanese attraction.
Ultimate Frostic Dranzer
Ultimate Frostic Dranzer is one of the most powerful Bit-Beasts because it incorporates the amazing battle skills and strength which leaves the opponents breathless. It appeared in the first generation of beyblades and its owner is Kai Hiwatari, the phenomenal captain of Bladebreakers. Beyblade V Force and Beyblade G Revolution featured it, and it is the typical balance type beyblade. It will be remembered for the finale fights against Voltaire’s team.
Black Dranzer
Black Dranzer was made into a Beyblade Heavy Metal System. This is definitively the most popular and the most perfect plastic beyblade there is. Its trademark is mythological bird Phoenix. It was made by monk Rasputin who wanted to use it for wars, but the power of Black Dranzer was too huge for the monk to control. It changed many owners over the years, and it ended up in hands of Boris Bakov, the coach of Demolition Boys. Black Dranzer is very rare beyblades, and it can only be found in Japan and some other Asian countries. For many players Black Dranzer is the best beyblade ever.
Driger S
Driger S is another plastic beyblade which certainly deserves a place in this post. This is the first beyblade form the Driger series and its owner is Ray Kon. There are over 15 versions of this remarkable beyblade. There isn’t a single serious beyblader who hasn’t tried Driger S and admired its performance. One of its main advantages is that it can easily adapt to any situation during the fight, many good players have left the arena with their tail between their legs due to Driger S.
Wolborg MS
Wolborg MS is the typical representative of Hard Metal System (HMS) beyblades. Its owner in the animated series is Russian beyblader called Tala Valkov. Wolborg Metal Survive is the last beyblade of the Wolborg Series. Experienced players share the opinion that you should by all means have this beyblade in your collection if you want to win. Only few beyblades have experienced the joy of beating Wolborg. Wolborg MS is available in the following versions: Coro Coro Limited (Gold), Saint Beasts Booster Secret Version (Ice Blue) and Tournament Limited (Black). It is interesting that Wolborg Emblem is the first mold version of Bit Protector.
Strata Dragoon
Strata Dragoon (Gaia Dragoon) was especially popular in the Beyblade: G Revolution serial. Its owner is Daichi Sumeragi, member of the famous Bladebreakers who inherited this beyblade from his father. Its trademark is white dragon. It is not especially valuable among collectors, but it was very popular in the manga series. It represents the attack type of beyblades, but it is also good for defense. Strata Dragoon MS has its predecessors and it appears in Strata Dragoon G and Strata Dragoon V versions.
You can find on Amazon all rare beyblade for sale.
Poison Serpent
Poison Serpent SW145SD got its name by a mythological creature (Latin Serpens) which played an important role in Mayan civilization and represented some sort of reptile or a snake. It was launched in 2000 and soon became popular among players due to its performances. On the front side of this beyblade there is a green cobra in an attacking position. Poison Serpent represents 5-Layer Hybrid Wheel System with right rubber flat and it is the real exemplar of defensive beyblade with great balance during the fight.
Meteo L Drago
We left it for the end, not because it is the best or the worst, but because it is by far the most popular among beybladers. Meteo-L-Drago LW105LF first occurred on September 18, 2010 in the Japanese animated series Beyblade: Metal Masters. See the interesting story about Meteo L Drago on our Beyblade YouTube channel told by its owner Ryuga also known as the infamous Dragon Emperor.
The word Meteo comes from the Greek meteoros which means “high in the air”. On the front side of this beyblade there is a dragon (Drago) which represents a galaxy in the Milky Way.
This beyblade is available in two main versions L Drago 105F – World Hobby Fair 2009 Exclusive (Gold) and L Drago 105F – WBBA Exclusive (Silver). There are eight more versions, but they really aren’t important. Some of the main product features and specifications are:
Face: L-Drago 1.07g
Clear Wheel: L-Drago II 6.03g
Metal Wheel: Meteo 28.31g
Track: Left Wing 105 1.05g
Bottom: Left Flat 0.71g
The main weapon of Meteo L Drago is its special attack move called Dragon Emperor Supreme Flight where Ryuga rises and twines the opponent with his body and then burns him with fire coming from his mouth. In fact Dragon Emperor simply fires blasts of fire to incinerate the opponent.
